The Timeless Art of Candle Making and Fragrance

Hello! Thank you for visiting our website.

There’s something wonderful about lighting a candle, isn’t there? I want to share a little of what inspires our brand and the feeling we hope to bring into your home.

Long before candles became part of our home décor and evening routines, they served a much more practical purpose to bring light into the darkness.

Early candles were made thousands of years ago using whatever materials were available, from animal fats and plant-based waxes to natural fibers. The Romans are often credited with developing early wicked candles, while candle makers in other parts of the world created their own versions using plant waxes, oils, and other natural materials.

As the centuries passed, candle making became more refined. Beeswax was prized for its cleaner burn and naturally pleasant aroma, although it was considered a luxury.

As time passed, candles stopped being just about light. They have become part of how we feel about the spaces around us, helping shape the mood and atmosphere of a room.

Think about it. A familiar fragrance can remind you of a season, a favorite place, someone you love, or even a moment you hadn’t thought about in years. We can light a room with the flip of a switch now, yet we still choose to light candles. I think that says a lot about the experience they create.

That connection between an old-world craft and modern living is something we appreciate deeply at 28 November Chandlery.

Crafting tools and ingredients may have changed dramatically over the centuries, but good craftsmanship still matters. We bring that same care to our scented candles and wax melts. The wax, wick, fragrance, vessel, temperatures, curing process, and all those little details have to work together.

Our goal is to create beautiful fragrance products that help your space feel warm, welcoming, and personal.

Candle making is rooted in history, but there is something wonderfully modern about choosing a fragrance you love and changing the feeling of a room in just a few moments.

Thousands of years later, the flame is still burning.

And here at 28 November Chandlery, We are proud to keep a little piece of that tradition going.
